If a king sees angels in a dream, it is testimony of his piety and honesty and if a scholar seeing angels in dream is testimony of his piousness. Amongst all the angels the under mentioned are revered:

Hazrat Jibrail p Hazrat Ibn Sirin r said that if a person sees Hazrat Jibrail p cheerful and generous, it indicates that the person will win over his enemy and achieve his goal and on the contrary it indicates sorrow and grief. If a person sees in his dream that Hazrat Jibrail p gives him good news or has prevented from doing something, it indicates honour, wealth and optimism. If Hazrat Jibrail p gives the person something, he will be bestowed with a higher rank by the king. A few dream interpreters say that if a person dreams of Hazrat Jibrail p giving him something, it a sign of fear and terror. If a person tells the dreamer in his dream that this is Hazrat Jibrail p , it indicates that the person will be able to comprehend, achieve his wishes and will be known for his trustworthiness and generosity.

Hazrat Mikael p If a person sees Hazrat Mikael p in his dream, it is indicative of good news; as Hazrat Jibrail p is bringer of dreams and Hazrat Mikael p is bringer of glad tidings and blessings. Hazrat Ibn Sirin r said that if a person dreams of Hazrat Mikael p giving him something, it is indicative of goodness and greatness. If a person dream of people calling him Mikael, it indicates that people will get good news and tidings from the dreamer and he will find great status.

Hazrat Israfeel p Hazrat Ibn Sirin r said that if a person dreams of Hazrat Israfeel p , it is indicative of strength, greatness, majesty, knowledge and wisdom. The country where Hazrat Israfeel p is seen indicates peace and prosperity for the land. If Hazrat Israfeel p is seen blowing trumpet it indicates calamity and enticement. If however, a trumpet is seen with Hazrat Israfeel p but he doesn’t blow; it means that there will be calamity, enticement and great fear in the city. If a person dreams of Hazrat Israfeel p in his home and the dreamer awakes from sleep, it indicates that the city chief will be angry with him. Allah says in the Holy Quran:

وَنُفِخَ فِی الصُّورِ فَصَعِقَ مَنْ فِی السّمٰٰوٰتِ وَمَنْ فِی الْاَرْضِ
“And the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will fall dead.” (Az Zumar 39/68)

Hazrat Karmani r said that if a person dreams of Hazrat Israfeel p sadly blows the trumpet and the dreamer hears the sound of trumpet as a blessing; it means that there will be an epidemic in the country and cruel people will die. If the dreamer sees Hazrat Israfeel p looking at him with happiness, it indicates that the king will bestow him with peace and goodness. If the dreamer sees Hazrat Israfeel p giving him a stick with his seal on it, means that the dreamers death is near. If a person sees that Hazrat Israfeel p shouted at him and disappeared, it means that he will be harmed by the king.

Hazrat Izrael p Hazrat Ibn Sirin r said that if a person dreams of Hazrat Izrael p in the sky and himself on the earth, it means that the person will be removed from his position. If a person sees Hazrat Izrael p is with him, it means that his death is near and if he sees the Angel of Death happy, it means that he will embrace martyrdom. If the dreamer sees himself wrestle with Hazrat Izrael p and falls, it indicates his death and on the contrary if the Angel of Death is knocked down, a few interpreters say that the person will get sick but will recover.

Hamlan-e-Arash (Holders of the Throne) are those angels who have raised the divine throne by Allah’s commandment. If a person dreams about them, he will become a king and if a person dreams of meeting them, he will get help from a revered king and see prosperity. Hazrat Ibrahim Karmani r said that if a person dreams of Holders of the Throne, he will meet religious people and perform Hajj. If the angels are kind to him and join him in worship; it indicates that his death is near. Allah says in the Holy Quran:

وَتَرَی الْمَلٰئِکَتَہ حَا ۤفِّیْنَ مِنْ حَوْلِ الْعَرْ شِ یُسَبِّحُوْنَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّھِمْ
“And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne, exalting [Allah] with praise of their Lord” (Az Zumar 39/68)

Kiraman Katibin are those angels who write down deeds done by people; whether good or bad. Hazrat Ibn Sirin r said that if a pious person dreams of seeing them, he will find goodness in both worlds and if a poor person dreams of seeing them, he will bear grief and sorrow. Allahd says in the Holy Quran:

اَعْلَم ُ بِمَا یَفْعَلُوْنَ
“and (Allah) knoweth best all that they do” (Az Zumar 39/70)

If a person dreams of these angels fighting with each other, it means that the person is a sinner, disobedient and deserves punishment of Allah d. If a person dreams of the angels waiting to take something, it is indicative of a decline in wealth and blessings. If the angels are seen standing at some location, there will be peace at that place and if they are seen in battle; the dreamer will be successful over his enemies. If a person dreams of the angels bowing and prostrating, it means that his actions in this world and those pertaining to religion are on the correct path. If a dreamer sees the angels in form of women, it means that the dreamer lies about Allahd. If a person dreams of having wings and is flying with the angels; it means that his death is near and he will die repenting. If a person dreams of seeing the angels afar and is unable to go near them, it means that he will be in trouble.

یَوْمَ یَرَوْ نَ الْمَلٰۤئِکَتَہ لَا بُشْرٰ ی یَو مَئِذٍ لِّلْمُجْرِ مِیْنَ
“The day they see the angels; no good tidings will there be that day for the sinners” (Al Furqan 25/22)

If a pious person dreams of the angels asking him to obey them, he will see happiness and marriage and if a bad person dreams of the same, he will see sorrow and grief. If a dreamer sees that the angels greet him with respect, it means that he will win over his enemy and the culmination will be good. If a person dreams of the angels descending at a place, it means that the people there will be freed of grief and sadness.

Hazrat Karmani r says that seeing angels in a dream may be a warning or an advice. If a person dreams of seeing an angel making a will, he will embrace martyrdom. If venerable angels are seen by a dreamer at a place where muslims are fighting with infidels, M muslims will be victorious and if there is suffering, famine and hardship at that place, Allahd will grant people of that place relief from it. If a person dreams of becoming an angel and going towards the sky, it indicates that the person will choose asceticism, renounce this world and seek the path of Hereafter. If a person dreams of going to heaven along with the angels and does not return; he will soon leave this world and leave a good name.

Hazrat Jabir Maghribi r said that if a person dreams of a venerable angel looking at him with respect, he will recover from his illness soon, will subsequently perform Hajj, go for Jihad and will do many good deeds. If a dreamer sees himself in the form of an angel, he will get rid of his grief and debt. If the dreamer is rich, he will become richer and if the person is a dervesh, he will also become rich.

Hazrat Jafar Sadiq r said that if a person dreams of angels informing him of a task, it means that a revered person will task him something. If a person sees that angels give him a gift, he will achieve greatness. If a person dreams of an angel welcoming him, he will be blessed with wealth in this world and the hereafter. If a person dreams of angels coming to visit him with candles & lamps, it indicates that he will be blessed with a wise and scholarly son. If a person dreams of angels giving him white or green clothes, it means that either he himself will die or someone from amongst his loved ones will die. If a person dreams of angels looking at him happily, his end will be good. If a person dreams of an angel giving him the complete Holy Quran or a written letter, it indicates that someone will rule and prevail over him.
